Fleetrige Elementary PTA

Fleetridge PTA would like to welcome you to Fleetridge and invites you to join our very active group of volunteers committed to enhancing the education of your children. Fleetridge PTA sponsors many ongoing programs and activities throughout the school year and funds many major purchases which are not provided by the district. See below for a list of PTA officers and board members.

Ongoing programs funded by Fleetridge PTA include: Special field trips and assemblies, music for special programs, new library books, book distribution twice a year to students, PTA operating expenses, and special requests from teachers.

Activities coordinated by Fleetridge PTA include: Birthday Recognition, School Carnival, T-shirt Sale, Book Fairs, 5th Grade Recognition, Grandparent's Day, Hospitality and Teacher Appreciation, Kids Are Out of this World Day, Future Stars Day, Label Redemption/Box Tops, Outdoor Classroom, Butterfly Garden, Parent Involvement, Newsletter, Yearbook, School Directory, School Website, Reflections Contest, Room Parent Reps and School Parties, School Supply Sales, and Skate Parties.

Birthday Recognition Children attend a monthly lunch with the principal and receive a free book in recognition of their birthday.
Carnival/Family Fun Festival An all-school Carnival/Family Fun Festival is held in the Spring for students and their families. Following MAP testing, students are allowed to choose one book for their hard work!
T-Shirt Sale School T-shirts are sold at cost to promote school spirit.
Book Fairs/Distribution/ Book Exchanges Two book fairs are held during the school year - one in the Spring and one in the Fall.
Fifth Grade Recognition An end-of-year event is held in May to honor our graduating 5th graders.
Grandparent's Day A day of interactive fun is held in the Fall for students and their Grandparents.
Hospitality & Teacher Appreciation PTA organizes refreshments and activities for the faculty at various times during the school year including the Back to School Luncheon in August.
Stars Are Out of This World & Future Stars An activity day is held in the Spring for all students and an orientation event is held to welcome Future Stars (New Kindergartners and their families) to Fleetridge in May.
Label Redemption/Box Tops Campbell's labels and General Mills box tops are collected by PTA for redemption for products for the school. The goal for 2016-2017 is $2000. Visit boxtops4education.com to view the list of participating vendors.
Outdoor Classroom/Butterfly Garden An Outdoor Classroom and Butterfly Garden is maintained on school property by PTA which provides an alternative learning environment for students and teachers.
PIC/PAFLE (Parent Involvement Committee/ Parent & Family Life Education)

Coordination of monthly activities for parents and students aimed at meeting the following criteria:
1. Regular, meaningful, two-way criteria between home and school
2. Supported parenting skills
3. Integral parental roles in student learning
4. Supportive, welcome volunteers
5. Full partnerships in decisions affecting children and families
6. Strong resources for schools, families, and student learning

Publications PTA publishes and distributes the monthly school newsletter, school directory, yearbook and provides information for the website.
Reflections Cultural Arts (musical compositions, photography, visual arts, literature)contest for students sponsored by National PTA.
Room Parent Representatives School parties are coordinated by room parents in the Fall and Spring.
School Supplies School supply sale is held all year longt to enable parents to purchase pre-packaged or individual school supplies for each grade level.
Skate Party Private skate nights are held for Fleetridge students several times during the school year.
